TAO has climbed from $220 to above $270 in two days, extending a period of strong performance against Bitcoin.
The TAO/BTC pair has continued forming higher lows while most major altcoins struggle against Bitcoin.
Jesus Martinez viewed this relative strength as a key confirmation that TAO’s current move has further room to develop.

Martinez expected capital to favour assets already demonstrating strength as market attention rotates from Bitcoin toward higher-beta crypto and AI-related plays.
He considered TAO one of the beneficiaries of that repricing, and the breakout has also created a potential opportunity across Bittensor’s subnet market.
Martinez noted that major TAO rallies have historically coincided with weakness in the combined value of subnet tokens relative to TAO.
With TAO trading around $272 during the time of his analysis, the resulting weakness across subnet prices was described as a potential “buy the dip” setup.
If TAO maintains its momentum, he expects attention and capital to move toward selected subnet assets.

Teutonic (SN3) is among his preferred subnet plays, alongside Engy (SN53), Targon (SN4), Lium (SN51), GM (SN28), Bitcast (SN93), Minos (SN107), Hippius (SN75), RedTeam (SN61), and Oro (SN15).
Teutonic is considered interesting as it works toward a larger AI model following its earlier decentralized GPU coordination achievement.
Another potential catalyst is TAO’s expansion across other networks. Martinez expects availability on chains such as Solana and Base to create additional trading access and attract liquidity, pointing to Zcash’s experience on Solana as an example.
Martinez’s case rests on TAO maintaining its relative strength while the broader market rotates toward crypto-native AI.
For now, the signal remains the combination of a sharp USD breakout, sustained TAO/BTC strength, and enhanced subnet valuations.
