Enigma (subnet 63) by Qbittensor Labs is a decentralized challenge platform on the Bittensor network that incentivizes global researchers, hackers, and engineers to solve foundational deep-tech problems in cryptography, quantum computing, and AI. By leveraging Bittensor’s incentive layer, Enigma hosts open challenges with real, on-chain prize pools funded by miner emissions, governed transparently through validator voting. Successful solutions are open-sourced, and prize pools grow until milestones are achieved. Current live challenges include breaking RSA encryption (in partnership with Terra Quantum) and hardening quantum-proof circuits (with BlueQubit), aiming to advance security and quantum-readiness through competitive, verifiable research.
