Subnet Summer Is Paying Creators to Teach Bittensor / TAO

Subnet Summer has launched Summer School, an education program built on Bitcast (SN93) that rewards creators for publishing useful content about Bittensor.

Subnet Summer is the second application built by an external team using the Bitcast subnet to power their creator ambitions.

Great to see more teams building on top of the network.

Bitcast is a decentralized creator economy where brands publish content briefs and creators earn rewards based on how their work performs.

The Subnet Summer program is designed for people who already explain the ecosystem in public, whether that means breaking down subnets, incentives, mechanics, or broader network developments.

For now, access is limited to X accounts ranked within the top 350 of Bitcast. Eligible creators can register through a short verification process that connects their X account and Bittensor wallet.

How to Register for Summer School

Getting into Summer School takes only a few steps. If your X account qualifies, here is how to register, verify your account, and get ready to participate in the available briefs.

1. Request an Invite: Send a DM requesting access to one of  SubnetSummerTAO, Alchemist – τ, and KaWis. The team will confirm whether your account is within the top 350 of Bitcast, to qualify for the reward pool. If you qualify, you will receive a personal registration link.

2. Open Your Invite Link: The registration link is tied to your X account and should not be shared with anyone else. Open the link and enter the Bittensor wallet address where you want your rewards sent.

Check the address carefully before submitting, as it cannot currently be changed through the registration page.

3. Copy Your Verification Tag: After submitting your wallet, Summer School will generate a unique verification tag. It will look similar to subnetsummer-2f9dfab0dcef

The tag is valid for 24 hours.

4. Reply to the Official Announcement: Go to the Summer School registration post and reply with the exact verification tag.

The reply must come from the same X account that received the invite.

5. Verify Your Reply: Copy the link to your X reply and return to the registration page. Paste the link into the verification field and click Verify my Reply.

Once the verification is successful, your registration is complete.

6. Wait for Activation: After verification, wait for your account to become fully active. Once activated, you will be able to participate in Summer School briefs and create education-focused content around Bittensor.

Turning Bittensor Education Into Something Creators Can Earn From

Summer School adds a focused education layer to Bitcast’s creator infrastructure. Creators receive briefs, publish content, and earn when their work scores through Bitcast. The focus is on content that helps more people understand Bittensor clearly and accurately.

For Subnet Summer, it is also a natural extension of its ‘Town Square’ role. The community already revolves around discussion and education. Summer School gives creators a direct incentive to keep doing more of that work.
