Hippius (SN75) is putting its decentralized cloud in the hands of Android users, bringing automatic backups, encrypted storage, and seamless access to files on the go.
The Hippius mobile app is now available on the Google Play Store, giving users access to the same accounts and storage they already use across the web and desktop.
Photos and files can be backed up automatically, with end-to-end encryption performed directly on the phone before anything is uploaded to the network.

The app is powered by Hippius (SN75), a blockchain-based cloud platform on Bittensor that distributes encrypted files across a network of independent miners. Files are encrypted before upload, split using Reed-Solomon erasure coding, and stored across multiple nodes, helping keep data accessible even if individual nodes go offline.

That infrastructure supports Hippius Drive for everyday personal storage, alongside S3-compatible object storage, confidential computing, and services designed for AI workloads.
These capabilities extend Hippius beyond personal file storage, while blockchain records make storage activity, payments, and miner operations verifiable across the network.
The Android release gives users a way to bring those capabilities into their daily routines. Files can remain synchronized across supported devices, while automatic backups provide a continuous copy of important photos and documents without requiring users to manually upload them.
An iOS version is also planned, expanding the Hippius mobile experience to Apple devices. For now, Android users can download the app and carry their Hippius storage with them, combining the convenience of mobile cloud access with encryption and decentralized infrastructure.
