BitMind Introduced Yugos to Automatically Choose the Right AI Model for Every Task

Discover Yugos, an AI routing platform on SN34, which automatically selects AI models based on answer quality, cost, and speed using competitive decision models.

BitMind Introduced Yugos to Automatically Choose the Right AI Model for Every Task

BitMind announced Yugos, an AI routing platform designed to automatically select the most suitable AI model for each request.

Developers can send requests through Yugos, which automatically selects the most suitable AI model from options such as GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, and others.

The project operates on SN34, extending BitMind’s work beyond deepfake detection into AI inference infrastructure.

How Yugos Works

Yugos acts as an intelligent router, selecting the AI model, provider, and reasoning effort best suited to each task. For example, an application might use an inexpensive model to summarize emails, a specialized model for coding, and a more powerful model for complex reasoning.

Yugos makes these decisions automatically, balancing answer quality, cost, and response speed.

How Yugos Chose Models

This operates a System One decision model that ensures the system decides which AI model should handle each request, and not generate answers itself.

The approach builds on BitMind’s experience in deepfake detection, where different specialized models are selected depending on the type of media being analyzed.

One API for Multiple AI Models

Yugos provides an OpenAI-compatible API, allowing developers to connect their applications to multiple AI providers through a single endpoint.

Pros of Using Yugos

By specifying yugo as the model, developers can leave model selection to the platform while retaining the ability to exclude specific models or override routing decisions.

The system also provides records of which models were used, their token consumption, and associated costs.

How Bittensor Powers Yugos

Yugos uses Bittensor’s competitive structure to continuously improve its routing decisions.

Miners on SN34 develop decision models that compete to select the most effective AI models and providers. Their submissions are evaluated on shared tasks, with scores accounting for answer accuracy, actual inference costs, and processing time.

The strongest decision model becomes the champion, but challengers can replace it by demonstrating better performance.

The subnet allocates 85% of the reward weight to the current champion, 10% to the previous champion, and 5% to the champion before that.

This creates an incentive for miners to continuously develop more efficient routing systems.

Yugos Can Route Requests to Other Bittensor Subnets

Yugos also supports inference services operating within Bittensor, including SayGM (SN28), Engy (SN53), and Chutes (SN64). These services compete alongside providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, and DeepSeek as potential destinations for requests.

For example, if a model served through Chutes can complete a task at a lower cost while maintaining the required quality, Yugos could select that option. This gives Bittensor inference providers another potential source of demand as they improve their services.

Why Yugos Matters

As AI models become more specialized, choosing the right model for every task becomes increasingly difficult. Using expensive models for simple requests wastes resources, while cheaper models may struggle with complex tasks. Maintaining manual routing rules also adds engineering work.

Yugos aims to solve this by making model selection an automated process that improves through competition. For Bittensor, it demonstrates another practical application of decentralized incentives, with miners competing to solve an infrastructure problem affecting the broader AI industry.

How to Get Started

Yugos provides access for developers who want to integrate automated AI routing into their applications, as well as miners interested in competing to improve its decision models. The following resources provide a starting point:

1. Access Yugos With Prepaid API Access Starting At $10.

2. View Yugos’ Docs For API Integration and Model Routing.

3. X: https://x.com/yugosai/

4. GitHub: https://github.com/BitMind-AI/yugos

With Yugos, BitMind is extending its model-selection technology into the broader AI inference market, where the ability to consistently deliver better answers at lower costs could become increasingly valuable.
