You Can Now Earn Alpha by Referring Developers to SayGM

SayGM has launched a new affiliate program that lets anyone earn SN28 alpha by bringing devs to its AI gateway.

The offer is unusually generous. You can earn up to $1 worth of alpha for every $1 your referrals spend on SayGM during their first 30 days.

So, for example, if you refer a developer who signs up through your link and spends $500 during their first month, you could earn up to $500 worth of Subnet 28 alpha. Refer another developer who spends $1,000, and that could add another $1,000 worth of alpha.

The rewards come from a shared pool funded by a portion of SayGM’s subnet emissions, so the exact amount you receive depends on how much referred revenue you bring compared with other affiliates. If you account for 10% of the eligible referred revenue in a round, you receive 10% of the alpha allocated for that round. The maximum remains $1 in alpha for every $1 your referrals spend.

How to participate

You first need a Bittensor wallet and coldkey because this is where your rewards will be sent. Then head to saygm.com/affiliates, sign in using Taostats, and choose a handle for your referral link.

From there, you can share it with developers who might use SayGM for access to models including Claude, GPT, Gemini and open models. This could be through X posts, tutorials, Discord communities, newsletters, developer groups or even directly with people you know who are already paying for AI APIs.

What matters is spending, not clicks or sign-ups. When someone creates an eligible new account through your link and tops up, their spending counts toward your rewards for 30 days from their first top-up.

You can also create separate referral links for different channels, making it easier to see where your customers are coming from.

Your rewards are paid in alpha

Instead of receiving cash or account credit, rewards are automatically sent to your Bittensor coldkey as Subnet 28 alpha tokens. Crypto-funded referrals have a seven-day hold before payout, while card-funded referrals have a longer 120-day hold.

There is no claim transaction to make, and SayGM covers the transfer fees.

SayGM also allows self-referrals under the same eligibility rules, meaning existing developers interested in trying the gateway can potentially benefit from the program themselves.

For people already creating content around AI, helping developers choose models or recommending tools to other builders, this is a straightforward way to turn those recommendations into an earning opportunity. The more real paying customers you bring to SayGM, the larger your share of the affiliate pool can become.
