Yanez, subnet 54 on Bittensor, has announced dFusion AI as its latest customer, extending its Proof of Humanhood and Uniqueness technology to more enterprise clients.

Yanez said on August 12 that dFusion AI will use its YID protocol as the identity foundation for its newly launched Digital Twins, AI personas built from users’ activity and contributions across dFusion’s knowledge network.

The integration gives Yanez another use case for its identity infrastructure just days after its first production deployment with Syklo, while putting its technology in front of one of the larger contributor networks in the decentralized AI ecosystem.

According to an official communication shared by Yanez, dFusion’s Genesis Knowledge Ingestion program has attracted more than 650,000 contributors, generating more than 80 million submitted insights, with roughly 18% accepted for verified quality.

dFusion has also accumulated more than 3 million private chat streams through its Social Truth data layer.

Identity becomes critical as dFusion moves toward Digital Twins

dFusion is now moving beyond collecting and validating community-generated knowledge toward persistent AI personas known as Digital Twins.

A Digital Twin represents an individual within dFusion’s knowledge economy, reflecting that user’s activity and contributions across the network.

As interesting as that sounds, it creates a new identity problem.

If a Digital Twin is supposed to represent a real person, dFusion needs a way to establish that there is a real and unique human behind it.

Without that layer, a single individual could potentially create multiple identities, automate contributions, or accumulate rewards through duplicate accounts.

Yanez’s YID protocol is designed to address precisely that problem.

Yanez describes YID as providing two separate guarantees: Proof of Humanhood, establishing that an identity belongs to a real person, and Proof of Uniqueness, ensuring that the same person cannot continually create new identities.

For dFusion, that identity layer can sit beneath its Digital Twin system, tying each persona and its associated reputation or rewards to a unique human rather than simply to a wallet or account.

The company argues that this is particularly important as dFusion’s contributor economy grows. Its Genesis Knowledge Program already filters submissions for quality, but quality alone does not establish that multiple accounts belong to different people.

The dFusion integration also indicates that more enterprise clients are interested in Yanez’s trust solutions.

Yanez’s initial YID deployment was announced with Syklo, a peer-to-peer fiat-to-crypto protocol. In that environment, human verification is intended to address issues such as bots, duplicate accounts, and fraudulent activity around financial transactions.

With dFusion, the same underlying identity primitives move into a new use case.

Instead of primarily asking “Is this account operated by a real person?”, the application becomes “Does this AI persona represent one unique human?”

That distinction could become increasingly relevant as AI agents and AI personas become more deeply integrated into online communities.

dFusion’s model depends on contributions from people being transformed into valuable knowledge for AI systems.

If the network cannot reliably distinguish between 100,000 genuine contributors and one individual operating thousands of automated identities, the economic and informational value of the network can be distorted.

Yanez’s Proof of Uniqueness is designed to prevent that problem at the identity layer rather than attempting to detect duplicate accounts after rewards or influence have already been allocated.

Privacy remains part of the proposition

The integration also raises an obvious question: how does a system verify uniqueness without creating another centralized database of biometric identities?

Yanez says YID is designed so that biometric data does not leave the enrolled user’s device. Instead, the system uses cryptographic proofs to establish humanhood and uniqueness without exposing the underlying identity.

That distinction is particularly relevant for dFusion, which already handles sensitive user-generated information. The company’s Social Truth layer has accumulated more than 3 million private chat streams, according to official communication.

Yanez says its architecture allows dFusion to add identity verification without giving either company access to a centralized biometric database.

Yanez expands beyond financial and Web3 identity

For Yanez, the dFusion partnership is significant because it places YID inside a large, active AI contributor network rather than a traditional financial or compliance application.

The company says dFusion’s more than 650,000 contributors provide an opportunity to demonstrate its uniqueness infrastructure at meaningful scale, while Digital Twins give Yanez an entry point into the emerging AI persona market.

That could prove increasingly important as decentralized AI networks move from simply collecting data toward creating persistent relationships between humans, their data, and AI agents.
