Synth is a predictive intelligence subnet leveraging Bittensor's decentralized network to generate highly accurate synthetic data for financial market forecasting. Unlike traditional systems that predict single price points, Synth focuses on simulating full distributions of possible price paths for crypto, equities, and commodities across short (1h) and long (24h) timeframes. Miners submit ensembles of simulated price paths, which are scored by validators using the continuous ranked probability score (CRPS) to assess both calibration and sharpness. Emissions are allocated competitively based on prediction accuracy, incentivizing realistic modeling of market dynamics such as volatility clustering and fat tails. Synth aims to become a leading source of probabilistic price data for AI agents, options trading, and portfolio management.
