A market that spent a year in simulation is now open and taking real orders, as MVTRX (SN79) launches its localnet exchange with a live order book. Prices track mainnet, while the only fake element is faucet $TAO, which carries no real value or financial risk.

The chain is a fork of live mainnet, giving every subnet genuine reserves while staying synchronized with its source. The same engine that powered a year of simulations now processes live activity on the localnet.
What’s Open Right Now
The infrastructure carries over directly from mainnet:

1. A fork of live mainnet powers the chain, meaning every subnet on it opens with genuine reserves and stays in step with the real network.
2. One engine runs both modes, the same system that processed a year of simulated trading is now handling live activity.
3. Only the currency is fake, faucet $TAO carries no value, removing real financial risk while everything else behaves like the genuine market.
Access itself is open with minimal friction:
1. No miner status or registration required to start trading through swap.
2. A coldkey and a faucet claim are the only requirements to begin.
3. Full functionality is available, including staking, un-staking, and moving positions between subnets, with users encouraged to push trade sizes deliberately past what looks reasonable.
The MVTRX team says its own internal numbers already track the pricing curve within a fraction of a percent, and the ask now is for outside users to try to break it and report back whatever they find.
How To Get In
Access runs through a short sequence:
1. Request access at MVTRX, then toggle over to the Exchange section.
2. Select Localnet to enter the test environment rather than the live market.
3. Connect a coldkey using Polkadot.js, SubWallet, Talisman, or Crucible.
4. Claim from the faucet to receive the test $TAO needed to trade.
Anyone testing swap functionality can stop there and start trading immediately. Those planning to mine on the network need a few extra steps beyond that point:
1. Add a hotkey tied to the mining account.
2. Register a UID on the subnet.
3. Set up a proxy wallet before trading can begin.
What Comes Next For Miners
Miners get the framework for running automated trading agents against the live simulation next week. Until then, anyone can trade manually and test how the market behaves under pressure.
MVTRX is using this window to stress-test the system before agents operate at scale. Bugs found now could help prevent costly problems when real value eventually enters the market.
