Hermes Agent Can Now Move Data Across Clouds Using Beam (SN105)

AI agents can now move and stream data across cloud platforms, private infrastructure, and applications using Beam (SN105). SN105 has announced an integration with Nous Research’s Hermes Agent, giving autonomous AI agents access to Beam’s infrastructure for transferring data between different systems.

Beam (SN105) is a decentralized network that moves data between cloud storage services, applications, and computing resources. It uses independent operators to handle transfers, with performance measured through a system called Proof-of-Bandwidth. Beam supports services such as Amazon S3, Cloudflare R2, and Google Cloud.

How Beam Works

Hermes Agent, developed by Nous Research, is an open-source AI agent designed to complete tasks independently. It can execute commands, manage files, use external tools, and handle activities involving multiple steps.

Hermes also has persistent memory, can develop and improve its own skills, and works through platforms including Telegram and Discord. Its integration with Beam means these agents can now use Beam’s data movement and streaming capabilities, including its Rooms and Tunnels features.

For example, a Hermes agent working on an AI training task could retrieve a dataset from Amazon S3, transfer it to a GPU server for processing, and send the results to another storage service. Rather than requiring someone to manually handle each transfer, the agent could coordinate the process using Beam. This could be useful for developers and businesses running AI workflows that involve multiple cloud providers or computing environments.

The Integration Banner

The integration gives Beam another way to bring users to its decentralized bandwidth infrastructure as more AI agents begin handling tasks that require access to external data. It also builds on Beam’s existing tools, including Beam Studio, its CLI and SDK, and other integrations designed for developers and automated systems.
