Excrow, by Investing88 (SN88), launched as a peer-to-peer exchange for Bittensor subnet ‘$ALPHA’ tokens, positioned as the eventual NYSE (New York Stock Exchange) and CME (Chicago Mercantile Exchange) of Bittensor.
The platform lets users trade $ALPHA directly through an escrow-based workflow that bypasses on-chain liquidity pools entirely, eliminating price impact and slippage on every trade regardless of size.
Counterparty risk is handled through a one-time-use escrow wallet per order, with settlement verifiable on-chain. The exchange is live, free during the initial growth phase, with private Over-the-Counter (OTC), Application Programming Interface (API) orders, and eventually futures and options on the roadmap.
Why Excrow Exists

$ALPHA trading has depended on on-chain liquidity pools since dTAO launched, and Excrow’s argument is that the model breaks down at size.
1. Every Automated Market Maker (AMM) trade moves the market. Larger orders cause execution to deviate significantly from quoted price.
2. Private OTC deals carry counterparty risk. Publicly reported losses have reached hundreds and thousands of $TAO from failed private trades.
3. The $ALPHA market processes roughly 200k $TAO daily. Volume is growing, and a peer-to-peer alternative becomes structurally more important as pools deepen.
Excrow removes the slippage cost of pool trading and the trust cost of private trading in one product.
How to Use Excrow
Four surfaces cover the full workflow from wallet to trade.
1. Connect the Wallet: Click on the ‘Connect’ button to establish a standard wallet connection through supported wallets.

2. Market: Lists every $ALPHA market on the exchange with price, market cap, $TAO pool depth, open orders, and volume. Users can use the filter option to streamline the view to specific subnets.

3. Order Book: Shows every open buy and sell order across all subnets with side, subnet, price, size, and timestamp. The view is also filterable by subnet(s).

4. Private OTC: Create direct peer-to-peer orders with custom size, asset, stop or limit type, GTD or GTC duration, partial fill toggle, and public or private trade visibility.

How the Excrow’s Escrow Model Works
The whole design comes down to protecting both sides of a trade without needing anyone to trust anyone else. Every order runs through its own dedicated wallet that holds the assets until the deal is complete.

1. Trades bypass liquidity pools entirely. No AMM interaction, no slippage.
2. Each order gets a dedicated one-time-use escrow wallet. Assets sit in escrow until conditions are satisfied.
3. Settlement is deterministic and on-chain. Fully verifiable, no trusted middleman.
4. Private OTC is built in from launch. Subnet owners, institutions, and large investors can execute directly on the infrastructure.
Where Excrow Is Heading
The launch product is just the starting point. The longer-term plan positions Excrow as a full financial venue for Bittensor, with more advanced trading tools rolling out as volume grows.

1. API Orders, Automated Matching, and Smart Order Routing: Already built, activating in phases as volume grows.
2. Futures and Options: Long-term roadmap into derivatives.
3. IMM (Incentivized Market Makers): A portion of SN88 emissions is under consideration for IMM allocation during the early phase.
4. Fee Structure: Free during initial growth, with a small fee later, positioned well below AMM slippage costs.
The NYSE of Bittensor
$ALPHA markets have grown to the point where AMM-only trading is starting to leave money on the table at scale, and Excrow is the first serious answer to that gap.
Zero slippage on any size, escrow-protected private OTC, and a roadmap into futures and options put the exchange on the same product surface every mature financial market has needed.
For subnet owners moving large blocks, institutions entering the ecosystem, and any trader tired of paying pool tax on every fill, Excrow is the first venue built for the trade they actually want to make, allowing users to trade directly, and settle their trades securely.
