CookingTAO (SN122) has officially opened mining on its Bittensor subnet, with a 30% incentive burn currently applied to emissions. The project noted that the burn will gradually fall to 0% as more developers submit miner code that users can access and run through the platform.
CookingTAO (SN122) is building infrastructure designed to make Bittensor mining easier to access. Its platform lets users deploy and manage miners across subnets, while developers can submit mining code and earn based on the performance of users running it.

The current 30% burn therefore ties directly into the platform’s developer ecosystem. As more usable miner implementations become available, CookingTAO plans to reduce the portion of incentives burned until the rate reaches zero.
The launch follows several recent milestones for SN122, including the release of its incentive mechanism documentation, a beta phase covering a limited number of subnets, and the opening of full emissions.
With mining now live, the focus moves toward expanding the pool of available miner code. That could give more users a simpler route into Bittensor mining while creating a performance-based marketplace for developers building competitive miners.
