Crucible Labs released Wallet Extension v2.1.1 for Chrome, bringing a rebuilt experience to Bittensor users. The release replaces the previous interface with a cleaner wallet designed around TAO, alpha tokens, staking, and subnet activity.

For users juggling balances, swaps, rewards, and subnet positions, the changes put more everyday actions within easier reach. The update also expands portfolio visibility and Bittensor-specific tools without moving users away from the wallet itself.
Spotlights on What v2.1.1 Changed in Crucible Wallet
The v2.1.1 release concentrates on the parts of wallet management users encounter most often, like balances, rewards, transfers, swaps, and subnet discovery.
1. Completely updated UI and light/dark mode brings a full visual and interaction overhaul with a cleaner interface supporting both display modes.

2. Claim rewards directly, as the wallet lets users check and claim Bittensor rewards without switching between separate tools or interfaces.
3. Unified TAO and alpha balance combines Root TAO and subnet-token holdings in one place for easier portfolio tracking.
4. Universal Swap lets users swap between TAO and alpha assets through a single wallet workflow.
5. Transfer TAO and alpha lets users send and receive both native TAO and subnet tokens through the same wallet environment.
6. Subnet discovery and detailed views let users browse Bittensor subnets and inspect individual performance information without leaving the extension.

7. Multiple addresses from one seed phrase lets users organize several wallet addresses under a single recovery phrase.
8. 12-word and 24-word seed phrases allow users to create or manage wallets with either supported recovery-phrase length.
9. Updated Smart Account and Rewards Allocator refines Crucible’s automated reward-management tools.

These features build on Crucible’s existing focus on Bittensor-native wallet management, including Ledger hardware support and validator selection.
The Wallet Now Covers More of the Bittensor Routine
Version 2.1.1 gives Crucible users fewer reasons to leave the wallet when handling routine Bittensor activities.
Balances, rewards, swaps, transfers, and subnet information are now closer together inside one purpose-built interface.
That consolidation could make daily TAO management easier while giving active subnet participants quicker access to relevant information.
The extension is available through the Chrome Web Store, with users responsible for protecting recovery phrases and securing their holdings.
