Why the World Needs Data Universe (SN13)
Read Time:3 Minute, 51 Second

Public conversation moves at a pace traditional data providers struggle to match. Markets shift on rumors, elections swing on sentiment, and cultural moments rise and collapse in hours.

SN13 was created for that world, gathering real-time material from X, Reddit, and YouTube transcripts that make up most global social chatter. It updates every thirty seconds and captures close to seventy-five percent of online public conversation, affording users a view of sentiment that feels current, not archived.

Demand in this type of dataset is increasing rapidly. The global social-analysis market currently sits at approximately US$13.0 billion in 2025 and is expected to reach US$43.2 billion by 2030-a rise of more than two hundred percent.

Market size of internet data

This growth is coming from teams that require reliable, high-frequency information for decision-making, modeling, and tracking behavior. SN13 sits directly in this space, with scale that continues to grow.

A New Model for Gathering Information

Before SN13, pulling records from large platforms required expensive scraping farms with heavy hardware and constant maintenance. SN13 removed this bottleneck by making web collection a shared network activity handled by miners.

Validators request samples, check for accuracy, and score miners based on age, uniqueness, and correctness.

This structure distributes storage across the network and avoids central bottlenecks. While the subnet grows to roughly fifty petabytes across two hundred miners, the validators stay light at about ten gigabytes.

SN13 crossed seventeen billion rows early in 2025 and later passed fifty-five billion rows, adding more than a billion new entries every week.

Gravity Tooling Layer

SN13 was made useable via Gravity, which is a tool used by people to request structured collections by keyword, subreddit, username, channel, or date. The interface eliminates the need for custom scripts, and the cost remains low because the work is distributed across miners, rather than centralized machines.

Mission Commander helps users who may not know the right terms to target; it runs on Apex and guides the search phrasing so people can gather material with more accuracy. Nebula adds a visual layer that turns large collections into patterns and clusters inside a 3D environment.

The reach for the subnet expanded further when SN13 was connected to x402. The integration introduced a simple API where anyone can query up to five names or topics and get recent results of up to a thousand per request with a very straightforward pay-per-use model.

SN13 later launched a marketplace where people can buy curated collections such as housing trends, stock-linked chatter, sports material, elections, and crypto-policy datasets. It offers a way to start fast without running new jobs from scratch.

Adoption Across the Network

SN13 forms part of many different products in various subnets: Score (44), Chutes (64), Gaia (57), Ready AI, and tow.app’s Savant. External to the ecosystem, companies leverage SN13 for sports analytics, political tracking, asset forecasting, market research, and brand-reaction monitoring.

SN13 serves that purpose with clean, structured, time-stamped records from the platforms where most public discussion happens. The incentive rules reinforce accuracy by rewarding freshness, rarity, and correct labels, while reducing rewards for duplicates or false claims. This keeps quality on the rise as the dataset grows.

The Team and the Road Ahead

The direction for SN13 comes from a team with exceptionally strong backgrounds in distributed systems. Will Squires leads as CEO, Steffen Cruz helped design Subnet 1 and serves as CTO, Arrmlet guides subnet operations, and ewekazoo adds engineering strength with experience from Columbia.

Why SN13 Matters Now

Most discussions that shape public life happen on X, Reddit, and YouTube. Until SN13, gathering this material required infrastructure far beyond the reach of smaller teams. SN13 turned that work into a shared network process that keeps the stream fresh at all times. It gives builders a constant supply of structured data for modeling, forecasting, analysis, and research.Β

With Gravity handling job requests, Mission Commander shaping keyword selection, Nebula revealing patterns, and the marketplace offering ready collections, SN13 provides several ways to work with the material.

It supplies the current pulse of the platforms where people argue, react, and express themselves every moment. In a time when fresh input drives better prediction and clearer insight, SN13 stands as the data layer that makes that possible.
