Subnet 2 is an innovative project on the Bittensor network focused on building a peer-to-peer, verifiable intelligence network through a proof-of-inference system. Leveraging zero-knowledge machine learning (zk-ml), it enables AI models to generate cryptographic proofs verifying that predictions originate from specific models, enhancing trust and transparency in AI outputs. The network incentivizes miners and validators to contribute and validate high-quality AI predictions, with a reward mechanism based on cryptographic integrity and proof efficiency. Subnet 2 supports both CPU and GPU miners, aiming to optimize zk-ml proving systems and reduce computational burdens for validators.
