Novelty Search to Spotlight Decentralized AI Training on TAO

August 26, 2025 — Novelty Search series will host a livestream discussion this week on decentralized AI training within the Bittensor ecosystem. The discussion will highlight key subnets pioneering distributed compute infrastructure.

The session, featuring insights from @DistStateAndMe and hosted by @const_reborn, will receive participation from:

  • Subnet 3: Templar — enabling decentralized, incentivized AI training across global compute resources, designed to maximize scalability, privacy, and collaboration.

  • Subnet 39: Basilica — a trust-minimized GPU layer powering permissionless access to compute.

  • Subnet 81: Grail — focused on incentivized distributed training of large-scale AI models using a global GPU network.

The conversation aims to highlight how Bittensor subnets are creating a marketplace for decentralized training, offering alternatives to centralized AI infrastructure providers.

The livestream will be broadcast on X via @opentensor at 10 PM GMT on Thursday 28th August, with community members also able to join the discussion through the official Bittensor Discord.

As the demand for GPU access and collaborative AI training surges, these projects illustrate Bittensor’s expanding role as a decentralized backbone for machine learning.
