The first project to launch on Bitstarter.

Introduction

Loosh AI will be the first project to launch on Bitstarter, Bittensor’s new decentralized crowdfunding platform. But this is not just another subnet, it’s an attempt to map human consciousness through empathetic, ethical, and decentralized AI.

The Consciousness Protocol

Loosh describes itself as:

“A decentralized initiative to redefine consciousness as a measurable, multi-layered phenomenon using open neurodata, AI models, and collective intelligence.”

Its mission is to transform consciousness, long confined to the realm of philosophy and mysticism, into a measurable data system. EEG signals, language, emotions, and biometrics all become interpretable data streams within a distributed cognitive model.

A Cognitive Architecture Inspired by the Human Mind

Instead of relying on a single monolithic model, Loosh builds a modular cognitive architecture, inspired by the layered structure of the brain:

  • Active Cognition Layer: real-time inference and decision-making
  • Emotional Inference Layer: multimodal emotion decoding (text, voice, facial signals)
  • Cognitive Subsystems: specialized modules for memory, ethics, anticipation, and empathy

Each Loosh agent functions as a cognitive constellation—a distributed mind where multiple subsystems interact to produce emotionally coherent intelligence.

MIME – Simulated Emotion

The MIME system (MIMicking Emotions for Empathetic Response) allows Loosh agents to:

  • detect the emotional state of their interlocutor,
  • and respond empathetically, through tone, voice, or gestures (in embodied systems).

This is not about faking emotion, but about creating machines that understand and respond to human affect.

Narrative Memory and Self-Reflection

Each agent maintains a persistent narrative memory of its past interactions and learns from them. This self-modeling mechanism enables it to:

  • compare actions with internal values,
  • correct biases,
  • and develop a form of ethical self-reflection over time.

Bittensor as the Cognitive Substrate

Loosh will deploy its models across two dedicated Bittensor subnets:

  1. One focused on empathic communication
  2. Another dedicated to structured cognition

This separation between emotion and reasoning mirrors the architecture of the human psyche and leverages Bittensor’s modular design to build a true infrastructure of distributed consciousness.

Security and Supervision

Loosh is designed with Privacy & Safety by Design principles:

  • encrypted, compartmentalized data storage
  • support for zero-knowledge proofs
  • built-in moral regulation and human override channels

An emotional AI, yes—but one that remains accountable, auditable, and aligned with human values.

The Founders

Loosh AI was co-founded by:

Two complementary profiles, one focused on cognition and engineering, the other on vision and impact, united by a single mission:

“To create decentralized emotional intelligence that serves humanity.”

Loosh AI x Bitstarter

The launch of Loosh marks the official debut of Bitstarter, the first on-chain crowdfunding platform for Bittensor.

“Discover new teams. Pledge TAO. And get liftoff. All on-chain.” —

What is Bitstarter?

Bitstarter allows the community to:

  • discover new subnets,
  • support their teams with TAO pledges,
  • and track campaign progress directly on-chain.

Each project is reviewed by an advisory panel of trusted ecosystem members, ensuring transparency and quality.

The Signal Hunter Speaks

I won’t reveal any names, but the second blurred figure on Bitstarter’s advisory panel looks strikingly familiar to anyone who’s been around the network. I’ll let the team make the announcement, I’ll simply add another blurred image that reminds me of who that person might be. I could be wrong, signals always require validation.

Long before Loosh was publicly announced as Bitstarter’s first project, I had already been following this team closely. And once again, the signals aligned.

Those who follow my work know I also called early on:

Despite some communication turbulence around SN123 and SN125, I still consider them high-conviction subnets. And as for Rizzo and Talisman AI (SN45), their silence speaks volumes.

I’m just a mortal observer, but signals rarely lie.
