I’ve been thinking a lot about this, and this time, I’m not just thinking: I’ve actually put this idea into action.

The question is simple: What could the long-term risk/reward ratio look like, say over 5 to 10 years?

I bought 10 TAO at $400 each and then allocated those 10 TAO into dTAO. Here’s how I approached it: I distributed 0.2 TAO across 50 subnets to accumulate alpha tokens. (Of course, you can adapt the amount and the distribution, what truly matters is the 5–10 year time horizon.)

What will these $4,000 invested today become in a few years? Only patience will give us the answer.

I’m becoming the test subject of my own strategy, putting it into practice and sharing this experience publicly. This portfolio will be an investment for my children, the final chapter of a cycle I already consider a success. From now on, every day is just bonus and accumulated experience.

If I Could Go Back to 1994 With What I Know in 2025…

If I could return to 1994 with what I know today, I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to sacrifice unnecessary things in pursuit of financial freedom. And that’s exactly how I see Bittensor today.

Since 2022, I’ve spent more than 1,100 days immersed in this ecosystem. I now clearly see the arrival of smart money, and I invite you to read (or reread) the article I wrote on smart money in Bittensor.

➡️ $TAO – The Smart Money Is Already Here

You don’t compete against people like @BarrySilbert, @chamath, @Jason, @DavidSacks, @friedberg, @chrismiglino, @brockpierce, @scottwalker99 and these names are probably just the tip of the iceberg.

I also believe that @const_reborn’s vision goes far beyond the network itself. I’m convinced he wants as many people as possible to seize this unique opportunity to be among the first investors. He could have gone directly to venture capital funds from the start, but this man doesn’t just have a brilliant mind, he also has a big heart and a beautiful soul. He’s a visionary. Bittensor is inclusive, disruptive, and a truly underestimated game changer.

Building a $4,000 Portfolio: Thinking Like a VC

This is your entry ticket. (The amount can, of course, be adjusted based on your means.)

Some bets will fail. Many will stagnate. But a few will succeed beyond all expectations, and those few could rewrite your financial story on their own.

I also keep in mind that a subnet slot is like a piece of land, it gains value over time. The project running on a subnet may change, but its position remains the same. Imagine years from now, when 500 or 1,000 subnets exist, how will people view the first 128, who will ultimately be seen as the true pioneers?

“But How Do You Find $4,000?”

Most people underestimate the capital they already have.

  • Sell your shitcoins, most will go to zero, inevitably.
  • Sell unused items sitting in your garage or closets.
  • Cancel subscriptions that provide no real value.
  • Stop compulsive spending on useless things.
  • Take small side jobs to build up capital.

There are many ways, where there’s a will, there’s a way. It’s a mindset, not luck. I wasn’t born with a silver spoon. I don’t gamble with money. I don’t use leverage because I quickly learned it’s the fastest way to lose your capital.

Everyone spends their money how they wish, of course. But if you truly want to change your life, Bittensor gives you the opportunity to act like a venture capitalist.

Transparency & Long-Term Vision

I plan to share monthly updates on this wallet’s progress.

This is not financial advice. It’s a personal idea I’ve decided to bring to life, and a way to share the process with you.

Final Thoughts

No one can act on your behalf. The decision is yours.

But if something sparked inside you while reading this, don’t wait:

  • Sell what you no longer use.
  • Cut unnecessary spending.
  • Build a small pool of capital.

That small amount could one day buy your financial freedom, a future that’s actually not so far away.

In 5 to 10 years, people will call me either a genius or a fool. But one thing’s for sure: this old dinosaur will have tried, and I’ll have no regrets.
