Basilica AI (SN39) has announced its first public subnet partnership following a major architectural overhaul, teaming up with Gradients AI (SN56) inside the Bittensor ecosystem.
According to the announcement, Gradients is now using Basilicaβs infrastructure to run reinforcement learning (RL) evaluations, tapping into GPU access, container runtimes, and serverless compute without needing to manage the backend themselves.
The partnership is positioned as a two-way value loop: Gradients benefits from scalable compute, while Basilica gets real-world stress testing that helps harden and improve its infrastructure. Basilica emphasized that the goal is compound growth, not simply βrenting out compute.β
Basilica also framed itself as an incubator subnet, supporting other teams building on Bittensor.
The team added that more subnet partnerships are already in motion, with Gradients being the first publicly announced.
This collaboration reinforces Bittensorβs broader direction: modular subnets working together, where infrastructure and applications stack on each other to create real utility across the network.
