Beam (SN105) Brought Bittensor-Powered Data Transfers to Hugging Face

Beam connects Bittensor’s decentralized data-transfer network to Hugging Face, helping AI teams move large datasets between the platform, cloud storage, and compute.

Beam (SN105) Brought Bittensor-Powered Data Transfers to Hugging Face

Beam (SN105) is now live on Hugging Face, bringing its decentralized data-transfer infrastructure to one of the world’s largest open AI platforms.

Built on Bittensor, Beam coordinates bandwidth across a global network of operators to move large datasets between clouds, storage systems, and AI platforms.

The integration enables teams to transfer datasets into and out of Hugging Face through its distributed network.

Beam’s Transfer Architecture

Hugging Face hosts nearly 3 million public models, while its dataset count grew from 711,000 to 1 million in the first seven months of 2026.

As this collection expands, moving data becomes an increasingly important part of the AI development process. Researchers and developers need more than access to datasets.

They also need efficient ways to transfer those datasets to the computing environments used for training, evaluation, and deployment.

Count of Models on Hugging Face

Beam provides a distributed transfer layer connecting Hugging Face with the infrastructure where teams run their AI workloads.

By coordinating bandwidth across multiple operators, the network helps address the challenge of moving large volumes of AI data.

The integration gives Beam a practical role in the open AI ecosystem, connecting Bittensor’s decentralized infrastructure with the data that developers use to build and run models.
