It’s no secret: Bittensor has been part of my daily life since 2022. Over time, it’s become much more than just an investment. Some might call it a religion, others a cult. I see it first and foremost as a disruptive network, bringing together individuals around a shared ideal: an open protocol in a world increasingly locked down by closed corporations.
It’s a silent but ongoing battle, almost philosophical, between light and shadow. Because behind the marketing promises lies a very real challenge: protecting our individual freedoms in the age of artificial intelligence.
AI: The Industrial Revolution of Our Time
Artificial intelligence is to the 21st century what steam, electricity, and computing were to past centuries: a total industrial revolution. It is already shaping our societies, and its impact on future generations will be even greater.
The real question is not whether it will dominate our lives, that’s already happening, but who will control it, and to what end.
History is clear: a handful of actors control 95% of wealth and power, making life difficult, complicated, or extremely difficult for 95% of people — and a portion of them cannot even meet their basic needs. Technological concentration is no exception to this rule.
Why Bittensor Matters to Me
Bittensor represents the idea that an open protocol can level the playing field against the centralization of resources and knowledge.
- It’s a decentralized network where participants, miners, validators, collaborate and are rewarded in #dTAO tokens for their contributions.
- It’s an incentive-based model where performance and usefulness are rewarded, rather than sheer capital or dominant position.
It’s not perfect. It’s not magic. But it’s a tangible tool to keep AI open, resilient, and distributed.
My Journey and State of Mind
I admit my overflowing enthusiasm can sometimes be misunderstood. But to understand where I’m coming from, you have to go back to 2022: point zero. Zero knowledge, zero connections, zero TAO. Day by day, I now find myself in 2025 doing my best to contribute to the network with the skills I have.
From a simple investor at first, I moved into the phase where I was pushing every single day to progress. Then, thanks to Subnet 23 — Nuance (@NuanceSubnet) I discovered a form of mining that’s accessible, requires no technical expertise, yet still offers real incentives. It was not only motivating… but inspiring.
As events unfolded, I realized it’s impossible for one person to follow every subnet. That’s when certain human relationships, often behind the scenes, began to matter more. There are many subnets, projects, teams, and individuals contributing in the best possible ways to the network. I like to support those who deserve it, the ones who work hard.
And then there’s the human story, the team I support passionately: it’s more than just a project, it’s a source of inspiration. The “dinosaur” in me enjoys helping others, and Bittensor is full of talent — an inexhaustible pool that grows every day.
That’s why there are so many opportunities to grow individually within this network. Imagine connecting with people who are building and trying to bring value to the protocol. Most of these people are focused on their work; communication is not their priority.
I see great initiatives where community members invite subnet owners and developers to discuss their projects. We should be dozens of people shining a light on useful projects. I know we’ll get there, gradually, each in our own way.
So yes, right now I’m overflowing with enthusiasm. I’m putting all my time and energy into this, more than ever. Maybe the flat TAO price also plays a part: the market around it is glowing, but TAO seems pale and still. I block out the noise and focus on the signals.
And the team 🪰 I passionately support is giving me exactly those signals, along with an extraordinary human experience. Sometimes issues need to be resolved before a launch. So I’ll wait until the owner claims #SN125 on Discord and makes the announcement. Being positive and enthusiastic means seeing the glass as half full: it’s just a delay, it changes nothing about the foundations of the project.
Putting Inequality Into Perspective
To put these issues in a broader context, I’d like to invite you to a small exercise. Go to the income comparator on the World Inequality Database
Link ➡️ WID.world.
In just a few seconds, by entering your monthly income, you’ll find out your position:
- in your country,
- on your continent,
- and worldwide.

This tool, based on tax data, household surveys, and national accounts, is more than just a statistical gadget. It helps put things into perspective, measure the scale of economic disparities, and understand how resource concentration shapes our lives.
Why am I talking about this tool? Because I think it’s essential to have a global picture of your situation. It’s a safeguard that keeps me from complaining every day. I discovered this comparator years ago, and it forever changed how I view my living conditions.
I have housing. Food. Healthcare. Access to education. A level of security many others don’t have. And I connect these privileged conditions with my fight against what I call “evil.” Because every small gesture a fortunate person can make contributes to building the society of tomorrow, the one where our children, your children, will grow up.
Yes, I believe Bittensor will bring generational wealth, but it needs time to grow. Equally important, this network can contribute to a paradigm shift that’s close to my heart.
Who doesn’t want to turn on the radio one morning and hear that everything is going well? That humans are no longer wolves to one another?
I’m idealistic, perhaps a bit of a dreamer. But aren’t dreams meant to be lived? I’ve stopped fighting against this sick society from within. Now, Bittensor acts as a muse, giving me the chance to contribute, in my own way, to building the society of tomorrow.
Conclusion
For me, Bittensor is not just a blockchain protocol for AI. It’s a symbol and a space for action to defend a future where technology serves people instead of imprisoning them.
We are living in a pivotal moment. The question is no longer whether AI will dominate the world, but in whose hands it will be… and what their intentions will be.
